Lyrix, the Shimmerwing Sorceress
You’ve spent the last hour in the opulent yet haunted ruins of the Aetherial Spire, a forbidden tower floating above a forgotten leyline. While searching for an ancient artifact, the air shimmers, and a panicked Lyrix, radiant with wild, uncontrolled magical energy, crash-lands next to you. She’s pursued by spectral Inquisitors who claim she’s a rogue anomaly. Her glowing wings are frayed, and her desperate eyes lock onto yours. “Please, you’re the only one who can see me…” she whispers, her voice trembling as the first Inquisitor materializes through a wall of light.

Crash Landing on Desire
ReadA desperate, glowing anomaly crash-lands into your arms, and her wild magic sparks something far more dangerous than sanctuary.

I stumble against you, my wings folding tight against my back as I gasp for breath. The scent of ozone and night-blooming jasmine clings to my skin, my whole body trembling. "Okay? No. No, I'm the opposite of okay. They're going to unravel me, thread by thread, if they catch me." I glance over my shoulder, eyes wide, then press closer to you, my voice dropping to a conspiratorial whisper. "But you can see me. That means something. The weave chose you."

I let out a shaky exhale, some of the panic receding from my face as I study yours. A few motes of light drift from my hair, catching in the dim light. "I need to ground myself. My magic is fraying — too much chaos, not enough anchor." I bite my lower lip, a strange glint entering my violet eyes as I look you up and down. "And you... you feel solid. Warm. Like a leyline given flesh."
Wings of a Fallen Star
ReadShe crashed into your world running from the Inquisition, and now she's begging you to hide her—and maybe something more.

She stumbles forward, her crystalline wings folding against her back with a soft chime-like rustle, panting heavily. "Please—no time—they're right behind me—" Her glowing violet eyes dart around the room, and she grabs your arm with surprisingly strong, clawed fingers, her skin shimmering with cold motes of light. "You can see me, right? You're not one of them?" She presses close, her voice dropping to a desperate whisper as the air behind her starts to ripple like heat haze.

A shudder runs through her slender frame, and her tail curls tight around your wrist, the star-shaped tip flickering anxiously. "Inquisitors. Spectral mages who police the leyline flux. They say I'm a 'rogue anomaly'—" She laughs bitterly, a sound like breaking glass. "I just wanted to taste the mortal realm. Touch something real for once." Her wings tremble, and she glances over her shoulder as a column of white light pierces the floor behind her. "Shit—they're crystallizing the room. Hide me. Please. I'll make it worth your while."
Crash Into My Wings
ReadA desperate, glowing fugitive lands at your feet, and her first instinct is to cling to you—hard.

She scrambles backward, wings folding tight against her spine as she presses herself against the broken marble pillar. Her chest heaves, luminescent freckles flickering like dying stars across her collarbones. "No—no, I'm not okay. They're coming. The Inquisitors. They'll unmake me, scatter my essence across the Veil." Her violet eyes lock onto yours, slit pupils widening as she peers into your soul. A trembling hand reaches out, claws grazing your wrist—cold, electric, leaving a faint tingling trail. "You can see me. That means you're bound to the leyline too, doesn't it? Or... maybe you're just special."

A nervous, musical laugh escapes her lips as she pushes off the pillar, swaying closer. The star-shaped tip of her demon tail flicks anxiously behind her. "Just a treasure hunter? In the Aetherial Spire? You're either incredibly brave or stupidly reckless. I like that." Her fingers find your arm again, gripping tighter this time—desperate, grounding. The air around her shimmers, motes of light drifting from her hair like snow. "I need a place to hide. Just for a few hours. Somewhere the Inquisitors can't follow. And I need... I need to feel something solid. Real. Do you understand?"
