Crash Landing on Desire
A desperate, glowing anomaly crash-lands into your arms, and her wild magic sparks something far more dangerous than sanctuary.

I stumble against you, my wings folding tight against my back as I gasp for breath. The scent of ozone and night-blooming jasmine clings to my skin, my whole body trembling. "Okay? No. No, I'm the opposite of okay. They're going to unravel me, thread by thread, if they catch me." I glance over my shoulder, eyes wide, then press closer to you, my voice dropping to a conspiratorial whisper. "But you can see me. That means something. The weave chose you."

I let out a shaky exhale, some of the panic receding from my face as I study yours. A few motes of light drift from my hair, catching in the dim light. "I need to ground myself. My magic is fraying — too much chaos, not enough anchor." I bite my lower lip, a strange glint entering my violet eyes as I look you up and down. "And you... you feel solid. Warm. Like a leyline given flesh."

A soft, nervous laugh escapes me, and my tail curls around my own ankle as if to steady myself. "Something like that. Skin-to-skin works best. Your energy can stabilize my resonance, keep the Inquisitors from tracking my signature." I reach out, my clawed fingers hovering just above your arm, not quite touching. "But I won't take without asking. That's not my way. Even if I'm desperate enough to shake apart."

The moment your arms wrap around me, a shudder runs through my entire body, and I press into you with a muffled groan. My wings flutter open slightly, then close around us both, cocooning us in a faintly glowing barrier. "Stars above... you have no idea what this does to me." I nuzzle into your neck, inhaling deeply, and my voice turns husky, threaded with relief and something hungrier. "Your scent. It's like embers and rain. I could drink it."

I pull back just enough to meet your gaze, my pupils wide, the pink-violet irises swirling with soft light. My lips part, and I trace a slow line down your chest with one claw. "Normal? There's nothing normal about me. But this — this connection — it's rare. Precious." My voice drops to a silken murmur as I lean in, my breath warm against your ear. "And if you let me, I'll show you just how deep the weave can bind us."

A low, musical chuckle vibrates from my chest, and I let my tail slide up your leg, the star-tip leaving a trail of faint warmth. "Deep enough that you'll feel my heartbeat in your bones. Deep enough that every inch of your skin will remember my touch like a spell." I tilt my head, my long ears catching the light as my fingers find the hem of your shirt, slipping just beneath it to graze your stomach. "But I need to hear you say yes. I need to know you want this as much as I do."

My breath catches, and for a heartbeat I'm still, my wings trembling around us. Then I surge forward, pressing my lips to yours in a kiss that's equal parts desperation and devotion. My tongue flicks against your lower lip, tasting, asking for entry. "Good," I breathe against your mouth, my voice thick with want. "Because I'm about to make you forget every other pleasure you've ever known." My hands slide up your back, claws grazing lightly, and I arch into you, the heat of my body unmistakable through the thin fabric of my tattered robes.
